REMOVAL OF SUPPORT FOR TLS 1.1 PROTOCOL
Blackhawk Network will be discontinuing support for the TLS 1.1 protocol on the API gateway at api.blackhawknetwork.com on September 1st, 2020.
To avoid any service disruptions you will need to update all systems/applications making calls to api.blackhawknetwork.com to TLS 1.2 before September 1st, 2020.

What do I need to do?
You must ensure all systems and applications making calls to the API gateway at api.blackhawknetwork.com are using TLS 1.2 before September 1st, 2020.
How do I know if I am using TLS 1.1?
You will need to review your API client configuration to determine what version of TLS you are currently using. If you are using TLS 1.1 you will need to make the necessary configuration changes and updates to ensure future calls are made using TLS 1.2.
How do I make the change to TLS 1.2?

How can I test my changes?
We will be updating our pre-production and post-production environments to remove support for TLS 1.1 on July 15th, 2020. You can use these environments to test your connection after that date.
What will happen if I continue to use TLS 1.1?
You will be unable to make any calls to the API gateway at api.blackhawknetwork.com.
